Ohio Whole Child Action Accelerator

The Ohio Department of Education’s Each Child, Our Future strategic plan outlines a whole child approach to education as incorporating foundational knowledge and skills, well-rounded content, leadership and reasoning, and social-emotional learning. Seek Common Ground facilitated the Ohio Whole Child Action Accelerator, supporting 15 community organizations and leaders in Akron, Cleveland, and Southeast Ohio seeking to implement innovative approaches to meet community needs using a whole child approach. The Ohio Whole Child Action Accelerator demonstrates the importance of engaging and supporting communities in co-creating sustainable change so that students, families, and communities can thrive.
